What is Yoga Nidra?
Yoga Nidra, translated from Sanskrit as "yogic sleep," is an ancient meditation practice that supports full-body relaxation and whole-being awareness. During the process of sleep, the body naturally disengages from thought, and the mind's constant activity begins to quiet. In Yoga Nidra, we intentionally enter this state to journey into the expansive, fertile landscape of the subconscious mind, activating the body's innate healing intelligence while resting in a state of heightened consciousness.
Yoga Nidra is a unique practice because it is rooted in non doing. Its transformative power lies in the very act of letting go, a withdrawal of the senses and an allowing of each moment exactly as it unfolds. It is within this space of complete surrender that we create the conditions to access deeper states of consciousness. Doing exists at the level of the mind; through the practice of non doing, we gain access to all that lies beyond it. Through the gift of skillful guidance and the intentional arc of a Yoga Nidra practice, the practitioner can fully immerse themselves and deeply explore the inner realm. In all of our efforts to help ourselves and to heal, we often believe we must do more. Yoga Nidra offers another way. This practice can provide all of that and more through a profoundly effortless process, reminding us that some of our deepest healing arises not from striving, but from surrender.

What past students have said:
“The Yoga Nidra Training led by Shay at Reunify was masterful. As a facilitator, Shay shared her embodied knowledge in a way that felt almost effortless to receive. The training itself was the perfect blend of philosophy, practical teaching essentials, and personal/spiritual exploration. I walked away with a deeper understanding of Yoga Nidra and its roots. I also felt ready and prepared to teach Nidra, thanks to the way Shay artfully outlined the modern applications of these ancient tools. Most importantly, the training grounded and enlivened me, personally. Each session provided me with an opportunity to go deep, spiritually, through practice. I am forever grateful to Shay and her program. The container she created, the healing space at Reunify, and the training cohort cultivated a rich soil for new seeds to plant and grow.” - Julia S
