Why Nikki Rae Bose, founder of reUnify, loves YTT.

Community is what brings reUnify yoga to life.

At your typical reUnify class, there are sweet chats in the lobby, hugs in the studio space, and reflections of class shared afterwards. There is this sense of knowing who you practice with and getting to know who's guiding you.

A lot of this comfortability and familiarity roots itself within our community events & trainings. The core of the reUnify students and teachers have been through our yoga teacher training. Some of the current teachers, like Shayna Muller and Allison Delgado, were in Nikki’s very first YTT in 2020. Many of our students also take YTT, not necessarily to become a teacher, but to understand the potent depth of this practice. It takes time to study the sutras, perfect your alignment, or learn breathwork. A solid 3 months is the perfect dedicated container for this.

Over this length of time, you cultivate a sense of closeness with your YTT cohort that is unmatched. There’s an incredible amount of self reflection, revelation through the body (movement and breath), and connection that's rooted in vulnerability. Many of our staff members lead workshops within the training, which cultivates another set of close individual relationships. The web of interconnectedness grows.

Some folks see it as a big commitment, and of course it is. A commitment to growth, to intentional relationship, to physical and mental transformation, is always going to be a ‘big’ one. It’ll be worth every second of it. And the ripple it creates is felt through our whole community.
